Kick off the Jubilee Year of Mercy and join The Peace and Justice Committees of St. Francis Xavier Church and St. Ignatius Loyola Church for a performance of “The Bullpen” to announce our new Prison Outreach Spiritual Ministry.
Next week-end, the Peace and Justice Committee will again promote an initiative that helps us as Catholics and as global citizens to respond to Laudato Si’, On Care for Our Common Home. We will be at tables in the back of church before and after every Mass encouraging you to sign the Catholic Climate Petition, which is endorsed by Pope Francis and has been signed by a number of cardinals and bishops.
Please join us for our first meeting on Sunday 9/13 in the Mary Chapel following the 1130 AM Mass. Come to join us, come to listen, come to explore advocacy issues or simply to see what we are all about. Everyone is welcome!
Please join The Peace and Justice Committees of St. Francis Xavier Church and St. Ignatius Loyola Church For a “Poverty Simulation” organized with us by The St. Vincent DePaul Society and Bread for the World.
Have you been wondering how you can be more involved in our church? Are you looking for a way to deepen your spiritual commitment? The opportunity to serve may be the answer as we sincerely try to live the commandment “love our neighbors as ourselves”!
