Crisis at the Border: Encountering Christ as the Bridge

The St Francis Xavier Gay Catholics Ministry extends a warm invitation to the parish community to learn more about the life of immigrants and refugee families and Transgender people at our southern border. We are pleased and honored to have Sparkhill Dominican, Sr Valorie Lordie, OP share her experiences in ministry. She will focus on what she learned about the spirituality of these families and transgender people she worked with, and how important God and the Virgin of Guadalupe are to their survival and resiliency.
Sr Valorie will also draw on over thirty years as a public health nurse and healer trained in indigenous practices to discuss her thoughts about what healing of this terrible suffering needs to look like. She will address some of our own possible contributions to repairing the globe. Please join us for this extraordinary evening.
