SUMMER FILM AT KEENAN COMMONS:

Tuesday, July 25, 7:00 PM EDT

Plastic is made from fossil fuels.  It’s long lasting, requires lots of energy to recycle, and though it serves many useful purposes, it has proliferated into every aspect of our lives and is harming our environment.

MICROPLASTIC MADNESS is the story of 56 eleven-year olds including daughter of SFX parishioner living on the frontline of the climate crisis whose action on plastic pollution morphs into extraordinary leadership and scalable victories. With interviews with experts and renowned scientists who are engaged in the most cutting-edge research on the harmful effects of microplastics, these 11-year olds engage in data collection and advocacy…even testifying at City Hall. This alarming, yet charming film, conveys an urgent message for all of us.
