SFX Caregiver Collective Ministry

Are you coping with the care of a family member, friend, neighbor, or other loved one? Do you sometimes feel isolated as you juggle the medical care, cooking, cleaning, emotional stress and fatigue?
A new ministry at the Church of St. Francis Xavier has been launched to offer support. We are SFX parishioners who have been caregivers ourselves, including some who are active caregivers right now.
We offer a patient ear as we share personal experiences and tips for navigating doctors and hospitals, finding home aides, figuring out requirements for health care proxies and power-of-attorney forms, answering questions about hospice care and more.
