December 13th is the Feast day of St. Lucy – the patron saint of blind people. Every year along with our clients and supporters, we commemorate her Feast Day. Over the past several years, the Mass has been celebrated by Father Jamie Dennis, a blind priest from the Diocese of Owensboro in Kentucky. We have clients travel from out of state to be with us and celebrate our patron saint.
2018 marked the first time we live-streamed the Mass, which was held in St. Francis Xavier Church – our namesake and where we started out in 1900. Father Jamie and some of our other clients who participated as lectors and altar servers were interviewed on Currents News, which you can view below. We hope you will join us at our next celebration!
